Outreach Committee Newsletter April

April Newsletter

We need volunteers from St. Richard’s to partner with Lake Arrowhead Presbyterian Church on Rebuilding Together on Saturday, April 29th.  Please sign up at St. Richard’s or, if you participated last year, you can fill out the participation form that you received in the mail.  Rebuilding Together provides critical repairs to mountain residents who cannot afford repairs to keep their homes “safe, warm, and dry”.  We are excited to be involved in this worthy project again and hope that you will be as enthusiastic as we are. We are well on our way to collecting the needed $750 to fund this work.  To date, we have collected $195.  Please consider making a donation as a part of your Lenten observance.  Lake Arrowhead Presbyterian is also collecting $750.
Also, we are co-sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive with Lake Arrowhead Presbyterian Church on Sunday, April 30.  The event takes place just after church at the Lake Arrowhead Presbyterian Church.  Please join us in supporting the Red Cross with much needed blood donations.
The Outreach Committee wishes to emphasize the inclusion of all human into our hearts and prayers during the time of Lent and always.

Creator God, we are your people.
We look to the future with optimism and with faith in you,
as we pursue our call to provide justice and fullness of life for all people with Mental Illness. We pray that every man, woman and child
may develop their potential and meet you
in themselves and in one another.
May we enjoy a totally welcoming community,
with you as our center, joined hand in hand with our sisters and brothers.
We ask this in Jesus’ name.
