St. Richard’s Episcopal Church reaches out into our community, and the world beyond, in many ways. Our joyful hope in God’s promises and our awareness of God’s abundance and love for the world send us out in service. The heart of our sense of mission is welcoming all in the name of Christ as equals and partners.
We have a vital and active Outreach Committee who helps keep the church involved in supporting the work of caring for the world. The Outreach Committee works to build a sense of community on the local, regional, state, national and international levels by making donations on the basis of need and considers case by case requests. The Committee facilitates the parish in donations of their time and talent for community needs. The Committee has a special emphasis on local needs, but is also aware of its international responsibility. The Committee receives financial support from the Church budget and welcomes parishioners’ suggestions and prayers for our deliberations.
We support the Crestline Food Bank. Please bring non-perishable food and necessary sundries to church on Sundays. There are always two boxes by the inside doors (near the ushers) to receive your donations. These items are delivered weekly to the Food Bank for our neighbors who could use a hand.
